Postdoctoral Opportunities

The laboratory currently has a position open for an outstanding postdoctoral fellow, interested in membrane transport. We have openings in both of ur CIHR-funded research programs,1. studying the strucutre and mechanism of the Chloride/bicarbonate exch nager, AE1, the fasest solute carrier known and 2. Understanding the transport defect in SLC4A11, which leads to blinding corneal diseases The long-etrm goal is to identify possible therapies for these diseases.

 Candidates will have the opportunity to be part of the International Research Training Group in Membrane Biology, through our lab. This will provide a multi-faceted training opportunity, including research experience with one of our German partner labs for 3-6 months.
